A few openings for Tobacco Treatment Specialist Training available

KU School of Medicine

The 3.5 day Tobacco Treatment Specialist (TTS) training is in Manhattan, Kansas -  August 8-11, 2017.  Funding is available to cover hotel guestroom at Hilton Garden Inn as well as mileage reimbursement for commuting participants.  There are a few positions still open. Apply now!

Tobacco Treatment Specialists or TTS are professionals who are especially trained to provide treatment for individuals seeking to stop using tobacco.  This intensive and prestigious training to prepare providers to deliver behavioral support and select best medications for consumers. Health care professionals who educate others (health care professionals, administrators, smokers, non-smokers) about tobacco dependence are encouraged to attend, including:

·         Health Educators

·         Social Workers

·         Community Health Workers

·         Respiratory Therapists

·         Dental Hygienists

·         Substance Abuse Counselors

·         RNs/LPNs

·         Administrators

·         Physicians

·         and many other health professionals
