HOV4T to feature parents who lost college student to meningitis

Hear from Kansas immunization experts and from the parents who lost their college student to meningitis at a Panel Presentation Highlight on Vaccinations 4 Teens Friday, October 13, 2017 in Wichita, Kansas.

Bob and Dee Dee Werner lives were changed forever in 2004 when their daughter Becky, then a 20-year old college student and avid volleyball player, was struck with meningococcal meningitis.  After the onset of flu-like symptoms that quickly progressed to a very serious, life-threatening event, in just one day, Becky lost her young life to the disease.

Today, Bob and Dee Dee tour the U.S. to talk about their brave daughter Becky, and the efforts of their established Werner Meningitis Foundation, Inc. in supporting scientific research and development and disease education.

The Werners will join Kansas immunization experts at KAFP-Foundation's Panel Presentation Highlight on Vaccinations 4 Teens (HOV4T) Friday, October 13.  Registration is free!
