Call for FIFM volunteers!
KAFP members are invited to volunteer as a mentor in the Faces in Family Medicine (FIFM) program. This program pairs medical and pre-med students with a practicing family physician for mentoring throughout the academic year.
Volunteer today to be a mentor by completing this online form!
The ultimate goal is to expose students to the many different, energetic, vibrant, and authentic faces of family medicine, and promote the selection of family medicine as their specialty.
This program has two major components:
- Group Mentorship Dinners will be hosted for each campus (free to students and mentors). Mentors will rotate around the room from table to table, “speed dating” style, sharing their face of the specialty.
- One-on-One Mentoring pairs students and mentors for conversations throughout the academic school year.
